Accreditation and Publicity

Authorisation to reproduce the Artist’s words and Art for:
1. Publicity purposes for promotional / marketing
2. Educational purposes
3. Future displays throughout the City of Charles Sturt
With the conditions that the Artist be given an opportunity to approve proofs and that on all occasions the Artist/s will be accredited for their work.

Conditions of Loan

Between the City of Charles Sturt Library Service (hereafter referred to as ‘the Borrower’) and (hereafter referred to as ‘the Lender’. Whereby the Lender at the request of the Borrower has agreed to lend the works of art itemised on the attached list here for the exhibition on the premises of the Borrower, and the Borrower agrees to be bound by the following conditions:
  • The work(s) is received by the Borrower in good condition unless otherwise noted.
  • The Borrower shall not modify or alter the work(s) in any manner whatsoever.
  • The work(s) shall be displayed and stored in a manner acceptable to the Lender.
  • Packing, transportation and formalities shall be arranged by the lender through persons or organisations acceptable to the Borrower and associated costs borne by the lender.
  • The borrower shall exercise all care as regards the security of the work(s) and its protection from fire, adverse effects of weather or any other causes of loss damage or deterioration. In the event of any such loss, damage or deterioration the Borrower shall notify the lender immediately. However, the Borrower is not to be made responsible in any case and insurance against such damage is the responsibility of the Lender.
  • The Borrower shall acknowledge the Lender on all labels and promotional materials and submit proofs of all promotional material to the Lender for approval prior to publication.
  • The Lender shall be permitted access to the Borrower’s premises with notification or in opening times of the Library for the purpose or examining the work(s) as required.
  • Loans shall remain in the possession of the Borrower institution for the time specified on the face of this loan agreement, but may be withdrawn from the exhibition at any time by the Manager, Library Services.
  • The use of Charles Sturt Libraries for displays of artworks must not inhibit the normal functioning of the library nor disturb customers. As such, untidiness and excessive waste that is result of an associated function shall not be tolerated and it shall be the responsibility of the Lender to ensure that the space is workable after such a function.
